Using the tools

Bring the evidence.
Keep the learning.

  1. Choose a real decision and involve people affected by it. For a new venture, begin with Place and Potential, then map relationships and develop the business model. For an existing venture, use the Canvas and Portfolio Review to revisit the offer.
  2. Read the short guide, then type into the PDF fields or print the worksheet. Draw maps on paper or with PDF annotation tools.
  3. Use Roles and Commitments when partners need to agree terms. Use Capability and Stewardship when the work needs practice, support, upkeep or a handover. Mark what is known, assumed or still to explore; keep sources and differing views.
  4. Save a copy, reopen it to check your entries and agree an owner and review date for the next action.

The tools share a fictional solar irrigation service: growers pay for supplementary irrigation, while the proposed operator must make the service viable within agreed water limits. Prices, demand and test thresholds are teaching assumptions. Simulated learning results are labelled; no Refuture project or actual field findings are represented.

These tools support inquiry and decisions. Completing a worksheet does not establish that an enterprise is regenerative or that an intervention will work.

Authorship and use
