Taking part

Programme participation terms.

Common terms for the Africa Futures Fellowship and commissioned workshops and sprints. Confirmed editions and engagements have their own written offer.

Before you commit.

Refuture Africa Studio operates these programmes. See our business information. Registering interest or sending an enquiry creates no booking, admission or payment obligation.

Before acceptance, we provide the agreed scope, delivery format, dates, schedule and time zone, support, access arrangements, completion requirements and any exclusions. The written offer and engagement-specific terms form the basis of participation.

Fees, changes and cancellation.

Before any paid commitment, the offer states the total fee and currency, tax treatment, payment stages and any additional costs. It also explains cancellation, refunds, deferrals and what happens if Refuture changes, postpones or cancels delivery.

No cancellation charge or refund restriction is introduced by registering interest. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Where a statutory withdrawal right applies, its period, procedure and required information are provided before purchase.

Participation and completion.

Participants agree to the published time commitment, attendance, contributions and assessment requirements, and to respectful participation. Tell us about access or support needs before accepting an offer. Any completion recognition depends on the stated requirements; a Refuture certificate is not an accredited academic qualification.

Research and design contributions are both valid fellowship outcomes. Venture launch, investment, policy adoption and longer implementation require separate decisions and resources.

Ownership, credit and publication.

Participation does not by itself transfer ownership of your work or authorise its publication. Before project work begins, we agree ownership and permitted use of existing material, joint outputs, venture concepts and employer or client material, including confidentiality, attribution and publication permissions.

Only share material you are entitled to use. Research and publication follow our research and publication principles; personal information is handled under our privacy policy.

Questions and concerns.

Email hello@refuture.africa for access requests, cancellations or complaints. Identify the engagement and the issue; we will explain the next step. These common terms do not replace the confirmed offer or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
